Alright this is a big thread to discuss the Pokémon currently made and to decide what we should be adding in terms of balance etc.
At time of writing, we have these 5 Pokémon:
I want to explain a bit more of the thought processes behind some of it. Bulldor was thought up as an offensive hazard clearer, with its STAB Rock typing and high speed making it difficult to block its Raze. Its typing does it few favours, but the flaming bull's stat spread and movepool do let it run fast powerful attacking sets too, albeit they should have less draw than the offensive Razer. Any of Water/Ground, Water/Fighting, Dragon/Ground, Dragon/Fighting, Rock/Ground, Rock/Fighting effectively wall its dual STABs albeit the Rock types are hit by Earthquake, so designing one or two Pokémon with these types just to disincline the offensive set more might be wise. The Grass-type is an echo of Meganium, Venusaur, Torterra, etc. - a bulky grass-type good at taking hits. However, this one has a lot of utility available compared to the others that could see it filling certain niches. Wish, Heal Bell, and Health Orbs as well as more typical tools such as Leech Seed and Toxic give it a lot of variety. 85 SpA isn't anything to sneer at either, but combined with its low speed I don't see a proper offensive set rearing its head any time soon. The spider-crab with its quirky spread is based a lot around what's typical of crab Pokémon, with high offense and physical focus, and low speed. However, with its bug-typing and spider-like qualities, it has access to Scuttle, boosting its speed. All in all it should be a pretty fun Pokémon, enjoying access to a good offensive typing (though a handful of type combinations can wall that) but it's probably going to be a rarer pick. Torrent's a nice ability for it though I think, moreso than Blaze/Overgrow for its fellow starters I think. Locus Pokus came from just the ingenious name, but actually became a really awesome and complete concept. It makes great use of having its 2 STABs being the 2 strongest 100% HP Draining moves, and has a massive support movepool with a variety of really interesting options, from the serious (SubDisable and SubPetaya+Recycle look dangerous!) to the gimmicky (Shield Enchant + Sub + Recycle + STAB with Maranga Berry anyone?!). It has low stats but well distributed to make it able to take hits just about, and threaten all types of teams, but with definite limitations. It has low stats, but they should definitely be sufficient - Vigilant helps make it an awful lot less risky, and makes the effective bulk from its attacks much more tangible. The Normal/Flying-type is certainly interesting in a lot of ways, beyond just being the best answer to Locus Pokus we can imagine! It was designed so it would primarily function as a bulky attacker, with Natural Cure augmenting that, and Soar being an alternative surprise option, albeit working off of a low attack stat. We should add in an Electric/Flying or Steel/Flying Pokémon at some point to give it a harder time too I think. It's pretty well-rounded, with a handful of options that are niche but could see use, such as Whirlwind. Note that Natural Cure was also chosen since it helps the defensive non-boosting sets more than the Soar.
